Isle of Man Constabulary Theme of New Stamps

First Day of Issue: February 20, 2013 - Isle of Man

Isle of Man has issued a set of six new postage stamps celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Isle of Man Constabulary.

In September 1863 the Isle of Man Police Forces were amalgamated under the first Head Constable, George Patrick Goldie, Member of the House of Keys and Captain of the Parish of Marown.

Although the Island is not a part of the United Kingdom, the Constabulary volunteers itself for inspection by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabularies.
