Russia Stamped Envelope Honors Sculptor Aleksandr Mikhailovich Opekushin

Russia has issued a new stamped envelope celebrating the 175th birthday of Russian sculptor Aleksandr Mikhailovich Opekushin.

Aleksandr Mikhailovich Opekushin (1838-1923) is a russian painter, monumentalist, full member of the Academy of Arts and the Empire Archeological commission, and academician of sculpture.

The envelope with commemorative stamp depicts the portrait of Opekushin and his monument of the Governor-General Earl N.N. Muraviev-Amursky in Khabarovsk.
